God and the World

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1.1)

(1) What does this tell us about God?
  A God made the world.
  B God is part of the world.
  C God does not exist.

(2) The first three words of this verse refer to the beginning of time. So what can we learn about God's existence?
  A The world was there before God began to exist.
  B God and the world came into being at the same time.
  C God has existed for ever, from before time began.

God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. (John 3.16)

(3) What does this tell us about God?
  A God doesn't care about the world.
  B God loves the world very much.
  C God is too great to become involved with the world.

(4) What did God give, according to the verse above?
  A A great sign.
  B A vision.
  C His Son.

The Father sent the Son to be the saviour of the world. (1 John 4.14)

(5) This verse tells us the reason why God gave His Son.

God ... now commandeth all men every where to repent: because He hath appointed a day, in which He will judge the world. (Acts 17.30-31)
