Altogether Lovely

Altogether lovely,
Jesus, Lord art Thou,
Fairest of ten thousand,
At Thy feet we bow;
As we view Thee coming,
Saviour from above,
All our hearts are ravished,
With Thy wondrous love.

Precious to the Father,
All Thy steps below,
Telling out God's glory,
In this world of woe;
For His will and purpose,
Was Thy pleasure here,
In devoted service,
To Thy God so dear.

Yea, those hidden glories,
That reside in Thee,
By the Holy Spirit,
Lord reveal to me,
That with quickened footsteps,
And with grateful praise,
I may follow fully,
All my earthly days.

But Thy wondrous beauty,
And Thy matchless grace,
Lord in all their fulness,
Who can fully trace;
Yet our hearts enraptured,
Even here on earth,
Now would sing Thy praises,
And proclaim Thy worth.

Soon in brightest glory,
We shall see Thy face,
Praise Thee and adore Thee,
Lord for all Thy grace;
We Thy glory sharing,
Gazing Lord on Thee---
Altogether lovely---
Through eternity.
