What we believe about ...

Jesus Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ is the most important man who ever lived on earth.

He never wrote a book, and yet all the libraries in the country could not hold all the books that have been written about Him.

He never composed a song, and yet He is the theme of more songs that all of the songwriters put together.

He never founded a college, but all the schools and universities in the world cannot boast of having as many students.

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God

So said one of the first Christians (Acts 8.37). This is a key element of the Christian faith. We accept that there was a real man called Jesus, who lived on earth, two thousand years ago. And yet, this man was God manifest in the flesh. (1 Timothy 3.16)

Jesus Christ, He is Lord of All

So said the first Christian preacher, Peter (Acts 10.36). This is a key element of the Christian life. We try to honour, love and obey the Lord Jesus, each one of us individually, and as a group of Christians together.

Jesus ... the Way, the Truth and the Life

This is how the Lord Jesus described Himself. Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man cometh unto the Father but by Me. (John 14.6)

The Lord Jesus Christ claimed to be the only way to heaven. As Christians, we believe this to be completely true. We believe that Jesus died so that people like us can have our sins forgiven. When a person trusts in the Lord Jesus, God forgives that person's sins, and that person is assured of everlasting life, a home in heaven.

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10.9
